Reading through old posts it looks as if most people use the garnet flakes for mixing up shellac to match the ruskie color. I didnt see any pics of finished rifles though. Looking at http://www.shellac.net/ it looks like they have some even redder 'Ruby' flakes for sale right under the garnet ones. Has anyone tried these? Are they too red? Here is a pic of the ruby flakes unmixed Ruby and here is the Garnet unmixed. As I have always used premixed shellac I cant really imagine what these look like once mixed.
