How Many Slang Terms do you Know for Hanguns? |
Lead | |
|
I once read that the single word that has the most synonyms was drunk. Someone researched that term as far back as they could and that single term had the
most synonyms, polluted, wasted, liquored up, sauced, you get the idea. I also thought of all the slang terms for handguns, I know of many dating all the way
back to cowboy days and all the way up to today's street slang. How many do you know? I will start it off with a term from the cowboy days.

While in a gun shop I overheard the following conversation.
Newbyfrom the hood : "Hey man....I'm looking for one of those six hour guns" Dealer: " A what???" Newby: "You know...One of them six hour guns" Dealer: " Never heard of a six hour gun....sorry" Turns out he was inquiring about a Sig Sauer.

I was out shooting black powder yesterday so I remembered another term:
Smokepole! |

I think smokepole is generally considered to be a Black Powder Muzzle Loading RIFLE, but it is certainly a valid slang term for a type of gun, just not usually
referenced to a handgun, in my experience!
Maybe we should check in with Smokepole50 to get the definitive answer on that one? |

A little bit of the Good News....
I reside in Michigan. After you purchase a hand gun you have to take it into the local Cop Shop to obtain a "green safety check card". So I took one in to the police station packaged just like it was when I purchased it. It was inside a cardboard box for a New American Bible. Anyhow, when I went up to the sign in Cop down at the police station I told him that I had a pistol to declare then presented it in the Bible box.... and he said: oh, you have a little bit of the Good News in there... |
