Strange that it doesn't have any proofmarks, name, factory address, date, etc... Does it have some sort of bayonet lug arrangement? After looking at photos of dozens of 19th century black powder cartridge rifles, the only gun I could find with a bolt handle under the receiver is the Greek M1872 Mylonas rifle, and that ain't it.
