7.62x39 at AIM |

AIM has a new shipment (small they say) of Brown Bear 7.62x39 fmj at $134.95 per case of 500. Just ordered mine but only got one case to leave some for the
next guy.

But that is still over twice what I paid for it a couple years ago.

Wow that is high! You can buy all of it because I haven't bought any 7.62x39mm in two years. I have a car load of it and I refuse to pay these insane
prices!

I well remember the Christmas sale at AIM maybe five or six years ago. I ordered two 1000 round cases of Golden Tiger for $75 a case. Total with shipping came
to be about 8.5 cents per shot. I was skeptical about the Golden Tiger at the time, as I had had no experience with it. It turned out to be the best shooting
7.62X39 ammo I have seen, next to the Cheetah stuff that was on the market back then. Yeah those were the good old days!

I agree that 27 cents a round is no great bargain. I wish I had loaded up ten years ago but didn't.
But those SKSes really go thru the stuff and I love to shoot'em--just not as often unfortunately. Not that I like paying high prices but AIM has given me some great deals over the years. I got four of those 80 dollar Albanians and two 60 dollar K31s etc. If I've got to pay to play, I'd rather AIM get the dough. |

I am in full agreement. Also can't forget the two Yugo 59/66 SKS rifles they had on their Christmas sale about eight years ago for $75 apiece. One of mine
looks like it was dragged behind a 5 ton dump truck, but it is the best shooting SKS rifle I have, and I have an even dozen of them. It shows up the AR guys at
the range! AIM is a good outfit, and especially if you deal with Eric.
