For all of the Wisconsin members on the board .
As of July 1,2009 Handgun background check fee is now $13.00 Just thought i would pass along the info .... A Government thats big enough to give you everything you want, is a Government big enough to take everything away from you!

What is that all about. Are you saying that every pistol purchaser in Wisconsin has to pay for a background check to obtain a handgun. Good things come in
3's so I'd save up then buy three handguns to defray the $13.00 tax.

The fee here in Indiana stayed the same. As cousin Jethro would say "Naught". Is the fee for state check or the NICS check?

Yes in the Great taxed to death state of Wisconsin a handgun is called into a state hotline where they use the NICS system to pass a handgun background check
for a nominal fee now of $13.00. There was talk of doing the same with long guns as well but that didn't fly.
With the way our beloved governer Doyle is if he had his way we would have to pay a surcharge if we used more than the allotted squares of T.P. after we used the privy.. I swear it is getting to be taxation without intellegnt representation............... |
