I joined back sometime in 2001 I believe, and remember oklahomaman well. I got out of firearms for a couple years but found my way back about 2 years ago,
strangely enought it was probably getting married that brought me back. Glad the board is still here but it is a little upsetting how much slower it is now
compared to what it was. Bill I frequent a couple other boards but have yet to find a more friendly place. I've heard of a "great hack attack"
that supposedly hit the board, was that before or after the yuku transition?

Remember playing Medal of Honor on the server he set up? I sure remember those days. It was a lot of fun even when I had a super slow connection. I wish we were still doing that stuff. We really should think about doing it again. Dennis, yes Sir, you have been here as long as anyone I can remember. Glad you are still around.
The great "hack attack" came while I was on vacation and we were still under EZ boards care. It was a huge mess but EZ boards did try to save their higher traffic forums which this was at the time. Top 100 if I remember correctly. But we lost count of over 3,000 members and a lot of information that took me months to try to correct. What a nightmare that was. Yuku has been okay in the long run but a lot of people simply got frustrated and gave up never to return. Others got mad at me for not running my own forums which they erroneously thought I could do for free or even on the cheap. They needed to do their homework. I did and if you have high traffic you will have to pay your way. Yuku has been much cheaper than EZ boards ever was. But that's another story. Keep coming up with the names and we'll try to find out what happened to them all. My memory at 52 ain't what it used to be. I distinctly remember being better looking than Hoosier Daddy but he apparently remembers differently. He's older than me so I think he's getting senile.

Who was the Enfield afficianado who for several years sponsored the "LEPalooza" get-together?
I think he and Krautmichigan were good pals. Dosboot has a good story about Ed Hawk/Dove. Stan in SC

So HD is a neck-breather too?
If you can keep up with him, he's fun to walk a gunshow with, that's for sure. He knows more people than you can imagine!

Some oldies but goodies I haven't seen much of lately include:
CubanoLibre mman92 Mauserball Johnn Wall and glenn 9822 Now I know what's up with Glenn, he's saving all his finger strength and keyboard time chasing after a lovely Latina, and though he still has some parts of his collection, I guess we just don't have quite the appeal we once did. At least in comparison! He did offer some scholarly insights and better yet, seemed good at drawing authoritative responses from some of the most knowledgeable members, so for me at least, his presents is missed! |

Jose' aka CubanoLibre started dedicating all of his time to his family, his scouts and his practice (pediatrician). I have met him and spent a little time
with him and miss him very much. He is a great guy with an interesting life. I just wish he still had some time for us. He was also one of my original site
moderators.
I haven't heard from John Wall in some time.
