Does tumbling clean the inside of the case good? Meaning if it is not like a sewer pipe.

If the tumbling media is small enough and the cases are left in the tumbler for a long enough time period, then yes, it does get the insides of the case.
Especially on short handgun cartridges like the .45ACP and .44 Magnum cases. I have a friend who does a lot of reloading and he likes to pride himself with his
handgun cases by showing them off to everybody after he tumbles them and how clean and shiny they are, both inside and outside.

I've found coarse walnut shells best to clean the inside. Then shine them with crushed corn cob. Harbor freight sells the coarse walnut.

Thanks for moving it, beanstrung. I should have put it here to begin with.
I have got to visit Harbor Freight. I have one with in 30 miles. They should have some digital scales and a tumbler, and other stuff. I got my 30-06 brass sized to 7.65. So far it looks good. only lost 4 cases out of 37. They are around 35 years old. Some Remington, Sears and Imperial. They look better than some of my today brass. They were packed tight and dry. The only reason I kept them was because they are brass, and I don't throw good things away. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() shotout
