SIG .380 238 |
Lead | |
|
Anybody else buy a SIG 238? I bought one with night sights and rosewood grips a few weeks back. Excellent quality and flawless functioning right out of
the box. I didn't buy it for a pocket pistol as my Kel-tec serves me well in that application and I'n not a big fan of cocked and locked carry in a
pocket. What good is it then? I'm not sure but I like it.

I haven't seen one in any local shops yet, but they are interesting. .380 ammo is showing back up too!

Yup it's kind of a mini 1911 with a few differences. The slide can be racked with the safety on and no grip safety but other than that it's pretty
much the same. No jams or anything wrong even with the cast bullets I have been using, only have about 80 rounds through it so far though.

What kind of accuracy do you get with a lil pistol like that? Or the Kel-Tech? I don't have any small autos. My smallest auto is a Springfield Ultra
Compact 45, which is Colt Officer's model size. I guess I do have a PA-63, but it's still Walther PP size. Not really very small. I recently sold a
Polish P-64 which was PPK sized, but again, not like your Kel-Tech or SIG.....

To tell the truth I have never put the Kel-tec on paper mostly because I figure it is about a 10 foot gun at max and who cares about accuracy at that range.
I am more concerned that it shoots every time I pull the trigger and that it does. As far as the SIG goes I haven't put that one on paper yet but hope
to in the comming weeks. From what I have read it is a pretty accurate gun, don't have any hard data but it is a shooter. Colt used to make an alloy
framed .380 government model but functioning and accuracy were lacking. This is based on what I've read and not actual use. At this point all I can say
is even though I paid 600 bucks for this pistol it seems to be worth it an I am happy.
