Dupage Garands |

Hello how are you. I recently found out that Dupage sells M1 garands with new stock and WWII receivers. I was wondering if anybody has bought one and what
condition they were in. I am looking for a gun to shoot and hace some fun with and possibly take hunting. Its says that receiver has some minor pitting,
what grade would it be similar to in regards to CMP. I want a WWII receiver in good condition.
Thanks for any help you can tell me. |

Personally I would go for a Service Grade from the CMP if you want a good shooter.

Dupage is a A-ok outfit. I would say easily service grade. All parts I have ordered from them have been near new. Cant imagine if they are going into the
effort of building them they would use junk parts. Give them a call. Great folks and they actually answer a phone. No automated junk. That and no 5 month wait
like the CMP.

The last CMP that I got that was advertised with minor pitting was a grade "C" reciever . Perhaps they have changed but I think if they find pitting
on the reciever , it gets pulled down for parts . I made a shooter out of a "C" grade reciever and it works fine , it just isn't real pretty . If
you choose to refinish something with pits , it still has the blemish but if it's not real bad they may not be as noticable .
