I finally got a 5.45x39 upper after looking around for over a year!

I understand completely what he's talking about in regard to the upper wobbling on the lower.
There's an incredible amount of it between the upper and lower here.
I did install one of those nylon/neoprene/hard rubber gidgets to take up the slack, but it still wobbles a little from left to right.
Has anyone tried these with normal AR mags? any feeding problems?
The 5.45 round loads right up into the mag, I'm just hoping they come right back out as the bolt cycles....if not, I'll order a few of the CCMG mags from AIM later this coming week.
I haven't got a chance to try it out yet, but hopefully, the weather will break and I'll get to run a few mags thorugh it this weekend.
I grabbed the UTG rear sight at the shop where I picked up the M91 on the same day. The price was higher than at Knob Creek or at some of the on line vendors, but I figured it all balanced out once you add S&H to the cost. Should've grabbed one at Knob Creek and saved $10.
THe next step is to pick up a lower just for this upper so I can have two EBR poodle type shooters.

Chuck, a little cheaper than the carry handle, check out the DPMS detachable rear sight. It's a nice unit, I use it on my 3-gun match rifle.

If I get a different type of rear sight that screws on, I'll probably get a magpul, I really like the way those lay nearly flush, especially compared to the UTG unit I picked up Thursday (in the picture above).

Wow, so you did get one! NICE.

I tried to get just the upper, but ObamaScare had taken care of them all when I ended up getting the whole gun.

This is exciting.........I'm not the only owner I know now.

Now if you REALLY want to be "like me" you'll have to order 16 (yes sixteen) C-products mags, buy a sight handle from P. Bill, and shower with the gun after shooting surplus ammo.

Taking up skiing and skydiving would also help along with a varied taste for women, with each relationship ending badly. LOL

I'm too much of a ground level person for sky diving.
I plan on getting a few mags and pouches just for this one.

PBoL do you find any advantage with the flip up and the EoTech? Also in your pic it doesn't appear to have the A2 front sight? (or is it just the camera angle?)

Here's my M&P in 5.45 x 39:

ERGO grip is WAY better than stock, the buttstock really improves check weld and is kinda neat (free shipping from Aimsurplus), and it has a Rock River Arms "National Match" trigger group installed which is a HUGE improvement over what S&W puts in.

Rarely do I shoot with both BUIS and the EoTech.

The Arf.com "experts" preach about "absolute co-witness" between your BUIS and optic. I still don't get exactly why, but hey...why disrupt the flow, eh?

The BUIS is helpful should batteries die, glass break, etc. But as long as both are sighted in, no issues.

And yes, I have the standard F marked FSB on my M4.

HSC, that's the one major complaint I have about the AR platform......the grip. Does the ergo move your hand back a little so you can get proper finger placement on the trigger?

I put one of these on my target AR & my AR 10 it's called the right-pull makes a big difference
