turk feed ramp angle |
Lead | |
|
I have turk mauser with Bell and Carlson stock ,Adams and Bennet 1/9 barrel, and turned bolt, in 6.5x55. I noticed that the feed ramp is very steep. This
seems to deform certain bullets that I reload and feed in the gun (nosler ballistic tips) but not noticeably the Sierra HPBTMK. The gun will stil shoot under
.5 MOA.with the Sierra and under 1 MOA with nosler. I understand it was designed for ball military ammo and was just wondering if anyone has modified their
feedramp to be a bit more gentle on the nose of the bullet.

beltfedarmorer,
Welcome to the forum! I need to point out ParallaxBill's intent of this forum, which is: "Due to the main focus of this site on the collecting and shooting of C&R and military surplus firearms in their collectible original configurations, sporterizing topics (ex. "how-to sporterize", or "hey, check out my cool sporter") will not be permitted in these fourms. Thankyou, ParallaxBill" We do not discuss "Sporter" modifications here, but instead focus on the firearms in the original configuration in which they were issued. Here's a link to another forum that specializes in the area that you are looking for: http://www.sporterizing.com/index.php Regards, -Bean

Thanks for the notice. I guess I should have read up first. Again, sorry for the trouble.
