good deal? |

Hey all, I'm new here and haven't messed with Mausers since I was a kid. I just found a Yugo 98 at a local pawn shop for $125. It is in fair to good
shape with matching #'s on the bolt, receiver, and floorplate, but not the stock. The metal is worn but not pitted or rusted at all. The bore has
excellent rifling and is nice and bright. Is this a good deal or no?

I would have to say yes, it is a good deal.
And welcome to the forums. A lot knowledge lurks around these parts. So pull up a chair and set a spell with us. Curt |

ANY C&R these days for $125 is a deal- let alone a Yugo 98!
Snag it if you can afford it!

thanks for the input guys. I actually found another one today. This one has matching #'s on the bolt and floorplate and a different set of matching #'s
on the receiver and stock. It also has at least 5 very small stick figure looking nazi eagles visible on the exterior. Overall it is in good shape. Do the nazi
markings increase the value? I got this one for $90 out the door. As far as the ser. #'s, is that common on the reworks to have 2 different sets of
matching #'s? Anywho, I now have 2 mod. 98's and I'm sure I'll be lurking around plenty to sponge useful info from everyone here. Thanks again

actually I'm unemployed right now, so there is plenty of time to hit the pawn shops. Plenty of guns in this town, just not enough money.

Believe me, I know how that works. But you don't see many Yugo 98s available these days and even fewer, far fewer, for that price. Do it if anyway you
can swing it. Interest free lay a way?
