These are blue glass- the tumbler says "Texas Centennial", has a picture of the Texas and US flags and the Alamo, and says 1836-1936 as well as "1946 edition". I don't quite know what the star actually is, but it says Texas Centennial 1836 1936 on it. No, it's not an ashtray...These came out of a box at an auction (Lord, I DO love auctions) amidst a bunch of Garand cardboards and bandoliers. If you're from Texas - or just like Texas- and want them, we could easily work something out (you pay postage, or trade ya for something that has nothing to do with Texas!) I'm going to close this out now and see if it worked..... POB

Hopefully one day I can visit the Alamo I had family members that fought around that era against Mexico but not at the Alamo..... If only they were still alive...You know that top of the mission was not there at the time of the battle that was a later addition with it originaly being all flat on top. Just a little fact. Move to Ky from Houston. If you visit the Alamo, you have to have some great Mexican down on the San Antone river walk.

If you visit San Antone, you gotta drive up to Fredericksburg, hometown of Adimiral Nimitz, and home of the US Museum of the Pacific War... Sorry Plain Old Bill...
