Swede 6.5X55 load suggestions |

I have never reloaded but will start to feed my swede's. I have M96 FSR rifles, CG63's and an CG80 on the way. I have read as many posts as I could
find to see what others are using to handload. I ordered some 120 gr and 140 gr Sierra MK bullets and will use Privi brass. I was able to trade for some CCI
200 primers. Some of the recommended powders, 4350, 4895, 4831 etc are not available. I was able to locate RL-19, RL-22 and IMR 4064 powder from one source.
The powder is scarce locally so I will need to order it online. I am trying to purchase everything from one retailer to avoid multiple haz mat fees. If anyone
has any suggestions or loads they want to share that work with other powders available, please share. From what I could find the 120 SMK and 140 SMK should
work well in these rifles. Just looking for advice. I will be working with experienced reloaders.
Thanks, Ken |

I shoot one load in all my M96's. 44g of Reloader 22, Sierra matchking 140g, CCI primer, Lapua brass. Sometimes I've upped the powder to 46g for my
CG 63. I've shot it in about 8 rifles so far and now think that if the rifle won't shoot this load, somethings wrong with the rifle. It works.

Either one of the Reloader powders mentioned should serve you well since that's what you can get. I would go to that web page and follow the published load
data for a given weight and type bullet you plan on using. Start at the lower pressures and work your way up slowly until you find a combination of componants
that work best in a given rifle. Then keep your brass seperate for each rifle and then only neck size for each one. It will make your loads more accurate as
well as make your brass last longer...Jim P.S. here's a link:

The 140gr MatchKings have worked the best for me. 140gr A-Max's are a close second.

I placed my order today for RL-19, RL-22 and IMR 4064 and found some Hodgdon 4831 locally.
Thanks for the help, Ken |
