Still, the absolute worstest thing that can happen to ground troops occurs if they're caught in open forest (not a likely scenario in this conflict I realize) is to get hit with HE-quick. I can claim a history of Cannon cockers. G'pa & his brother were in the 313th FA in France in WWI. They publish a unit history in 1919 and I still have G'pa's. I have seen copies available on line fairly inexpensively. I would recommend it. Compared to many unit histories it is well written and actually quite readable. Hmmm. I did a quick search on the book and found prices have gone up. BUT! It seems someone did a reprint in 2006 that can be had for around $20!
