I have read cabinetman's write up on repairing stock cracks with super glue. I would like to remove the old glue before trying super glue. Is there anything wrong with sticking the cracked end of the stock in a glass of water for a few days to dissolve the glue and then use a tooth brush to clean out the crack?
After letting the stock fully dry, I would then follow the superglue process described by cabinetman.
