I would hate to chop up a stock that someone may desperately need to finish one of their projects.

Stock identification help needed. |

Hello all.
As I was gathering up misc parts for some of my winter projects, I ran across this old stock. It has ben sitting in my basement for 15 years or more. For
the life of me I cannot remember what it fits. So before I get the saw out and start butchering it up, does anyone know what this stock fits?

Looks like a chopped P-14 or M-17 stock.

It's definitely got an "Enfield" flavor to it... more likely a P14 than an M1917, though, is my guess.

US Rifle Model of 1917.
It's not a P14, as there's no provision for the stock disc. Shame about that front end... Life is the crummiest book I ever read, there isn't a hook; Just a lot of cheap shots, pictures to shock, and characters an amateur would never dream up... |

After being told that this stock has ben cut already I went upstairs and took a look. Sure enough, saw marks on the front end.
If this stock works with my project I will need to locate a but pad for it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? JB |
