Safety Bolt, |
Lead | |
|
I was going to disassemble the bolt when I had the bolt cocked back all the way I hit the safety selector to the safe position when the bolt was cocked back ,
Now I cannot get the bolt into the chamber/slide, because It does not line up correctly , does anyone know how to turn the safety to the upright position so i
can get it back into the gun . thanks and this is my first post.

I admit I did the SAME thing...........
I was........ upset........ my kids heard strange words! Then I figured out what I needed to do....... I used a screwdriver... but used the tip under the lip and put the base if the driver on my desk. (Fortunately it didnt slip.... and I didnt stick my forehead with a screwdriver.....) The way that they have it, is MUCH safer |

Any collector of Mausers will share the same memories and to those who have been around them for years and still deny it ever happening to them, .....well you
can call them a liar! The same thing goes with the M1 Garand and anybody who has played around with them for a number of years and have not had a case of the
"Garand Thumb" is also a liar.
You got to experience these things before you are qualified for your wings. Curt |

I'm with Curt on this one!
You can always learn the right way to do something better, if you've already learned how to do it the wrong way!!! Oh yeah, and welcome to the Boaards ... you can learn a lot here, and may be able to help others learn things too.

I've never had Garand thumb, that's no lie!
I heard about it long before I ever owned one. I have had SKS trapdoor index finger before.
