I then put it on my SIG 556 SWAT. Same thing the display is aiming at the front sight base.

Setting up a Co witness system |

Ok I have an EOTech 512. Yesterday I put it on my CMMG Bargain basement AR. When I put the Eotech all the way forward the rear BUIS is too close and I
can't operate the controls. I took the BUIS off and tried to set the Eotech. When I get the eotech adjusted the front sight is in the way. I can't see
the target as the display is centered on the front sight base.
I then put it on my SIG 556 SWAT. Same thing the display is aiming at the front sight base. Help!!!! |

HD,
I'm experiencing the same issues with the scope mount and flip up sight on the AR flat top here, not enough room for both on the rail. So I just dropped the allen wrench in the buttstock cleaning/tool kit and finger tightened the UTG sight to the side rail to install should I have to remove the optics/mount and go to open sights.

Sorry, I can't help here, HD. I've never used the Eotech.

What rear sight are you using?
Here's my CMMG with MATECH
DPMS w/ CMMG upper & Magpul MBUS
I sighted my BUIS in first. Then I put the EoTech on, dropped the red dot on the top of the sight post, and surprise. It was on paper. Slight adjustment, and we have a winner...all in the black. Life is the crummiest book I ever read, there isn't a hook; Just a lot of cheap shots, pictures to shock, and characters an amateur would never dream up... |

I want a magpull BUIS. I know where there is one locally and may go pick it up over the Thanksgiving break.

The rear sight is a UTG. I can see from the pictures that it is a lot thicker at the front base than yours.

I have an Eotech 552 on my M4 with front and rear GG&G BUIS with no problems. Is the sheer size of the UTG the problem?
Do you have a front BUIS?....or a standard "triangle" front? If it's a standard front sight there is no working around that, you need a new gasblock and a folding front sight. usrifle |

I have a standard triangle front sight.
The size of the UTG is the problem. It's profile at the front covers the buttons on the EOTech. So can you set up a Co Witness system using the triangle front sight? |

The UTG is a large and for the most part clunky clamp on rear sight.
I'm going to hint around that I want a Magpul BUIS for Christmas.

HoosierDaddy wrote:Oh, yes. I'm totally co-witnessed with my Matech and the EoTech with the stock F-marked FSB. I've also co-witnessed with the EoTech, Magpul BUS, and stock F-marked FSB. No issues with either. Little red dot sitting on top of the sight post; red Donut of Doomâ„¢ filling the rear aperture. Perfect co-witness.

Thanks Pitbull, it was my understanding the factory "triangle" front sight caused issues with co-witnessing sights...
Thanks for clearing that up. usrifle |
