A full and speedy recovery. It must be a little strange when a doctor is a patient. But we are all pulling for you.

I'm a lousy patient. Can't sit still, going to work, won't take pain pills. On the other hand, as it were, I'm really feeling much better. Even
loaded up a few hundred .45's tonight. Figure it's good hand therapy. Maybe this weekend I'll shoot them. Like you all have noticed, trigger finger
is good.
I'm really on the mend, praise God. looking forward to returning to work and working out full time next week. I'll have some hand physical therapy, and some pain for some time to come but I think I'm really on the mend... Thanks for your prayers and friendship, gentlemen. It really helps. |

Seems like after reading your posts on this thread you still have your sense of humor throughout all of this. A little laughter and a smile will always help
people through tough times
. It has always helped me and it sure seems to be helping you so we will keep
raising your spirits. 45 shooting sounds like good hand physical therapy but then you are the Doc so follow your orders to a T. It is great to hear that you
are feeling better now though and Good Luck returning to work you are still in my prayers friend.

Awww geez Doc....I was squirming in my chair just looking at those x-ray's! You are a lucky guy though, could have been MUCH worse.
Try not to over do it though, you need to be careful....Your patients "need" those hands. usrifle |

Glad we were not reading about your demise - Geez, what a run of bad luck - Just read your post - I also like motorcycles, and have had a scary story or two to
tell, but nothing like your ordeal.
Glad to see you are still kicking. Pahtu. |

Bill, those X-rays are impressive. I remember stubbing my little toe the day before I was headed to Oshkosh for the airshow. I looked down to find it at a
right angle to my foot!
I pushed it back so it was straight.
It was sore but not enough prevent the trek to Oshkosh. There's a reason I don't ride motor cycles. Carl

Owwwwwww!!!! I just looked at those e-rays. It made my butt hole pucker looking at those fingers bent over like that. My fingers are straight and so were
yours the last time I saw them. I hope they are back the way they are supposed to be.

Ouch!! Alas another thing that I cannot let my wife see or I'm afraid she'll be in the garage flattening Harley tires! Really glad that you came out as
well as you did. My prayers included for a speedy and complete recovery.

Good deal on getting back on the bike again.
After getting plowed under a school bus at 70mph several years ago, I still cannot get into a Ford Escort without getting a very bad feeling.

I'd be lying if I didn't tell you my pickup has felt better than ever. Secure and heavy. And it's only an older Ranger 4X4.

WOW Doc! I'm amazed you are able to securely grasp the grips let alone clutch/brake operation. You must heal very fast. Good for you.
Chuck: I get a very bad feeling when I get into a Ford Escort without ever experiencing the accident....

I loved that little car, 5 speed manual, 35-40mpg, even in the mountains and I had just mailed off the last payment the day before it was totaled!
Very rugged & reliable vehicle that did exactly what it was supposed to do in a collision. Everything crumpled up on the front and rear-ends and left the cage intact enough for me to open the door and walk/fall out of it as the state police was calling for the coroner to pick me up, then backtracked really quick and made it an ambulance call. To keep this thread from going too OT from the original topic and from the purpose of the forum, I did receive enough in the settlement to pick up a NIB 5.56x45 Chinese AK and replace the vehicle.

I detect a glimmer of sentimentality, Chuck.
The lil fella had yer back in a bad situation.....that's all you can ask of
a car. Bless it's lil heart.
