Hard to put rounds in mag problem---FIXED--- |
Lead | |
|
I have a Chinese T53 project gun that is difficult to put the rounds in the mag. It came to me without the ejector. Apparently the previous removed the
ejector by bending the spring instead of removing the screw. I got a replacement spring and ejector from Mark Kubes. Now, when I try to put rounds in the
mag, I have to get something to force it past the ecjector. It then will chamber just find. Do I have to put a slight bend in the spring or file a little on
the ejector? That is my quandry. Help please. David

Sounds like the stock is not allowing the full outward travel of the ejector/disconnector. Remove the stock. Check to see if the rounds will then load with
minimal effort. If so, some wood needs to be removed from the stock mortise to allow the ejector/disconnector to move outward more. It was binding on the
stock. Regards.

Bill, what's going on with YUKU? I have replied three times to this post and they all have disappeared. Not the only time this week either.
padavid12: Sounds like your stock is interfering with the full outward travel of the ejector/disconnector. Remove the stock. Will the magazine then load with minimal effort? If so, then more clearance needs to be made in the stock mortise for its travel. Regards. |

Now one of the posts is back! After I made the 4th reply, the first one returns. CRAZY YUKU!

check the area of the stock where the interrupter/ejector sits. it may be hitting the stock and not opening up all the way. see if a round will feed
through with the action out of the stock, easiest way to tell. y'all have a good day, Keith

Once again the help on these boards worked. I did as suggested and inletted the stock very little and now I am able to insert rounds with ease. Thanks again.
