Mtn Doc is alive and doing better! He also has new respect for pavement, friction, and young girls on cell phones.
I am thankful for air resistance and proper packing techniques....

I think we all have a lot to be thankful this Thanksgiving, aside from the obvious: life, our great country, our brave guys fighting in ever challenging
conditions, our freedoms, friends, good times on this forum.

I'm more than greatful for all that I have, and the time I've been given to enjoy it!
This fine group of friends on these forums, most of whom I've never met, but all of whom I treasure. The people who have gone before, work at it now, and those who will take it up in the future, to make the life we know possible for all of us!!! I think Greg should be thankful for the recent "gentle" reminders of the need to obey the laws of physics! |

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I'm thankful for this forum and the fine people who are my fellow moderators. Of course I'm thankful for many other
things including my family, country, good health, and our soldiers doing their best under trying conditions in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm thankful, too,
that our son in law will be coming home from Iraq in a month and half, and that his tour has been quiet compared to his previous adventure. Three cheers for
the men and women of the Red Arrow Brigade, Wisconsin Army National Guard!!! Carl

Greg, it sure crossed my mind and I'm glad you started this. I'm thankful to Bill for providing a place that we can gather and enjoy each other's
company in. I'm thankful for that company- you couldn't find a nicer, more helpful group of folks to share with than right here at milsurpshooter.net.
Other things- health good enough to enjoy living, family, a couple of strapping sons, our 6-month old Golden "Ruger", auctions, great friends, and
life in general (and air resistance too!)

So much to be thankful for... | ||

As a newcomer to this board I am thankful for the camaraderie and the friendliness of the members, esp. Mtn Doc, with whom I shared a similar life-threatening
experience. So I am thankful that I am still here, that my family is happy and healthy, that our country, for all its ups and downs, remains a successful
example of democracy to the rest of the world. And not to be forgotten, I am thankful for this great sport of shooting and collecting, and for the quality of
people that it attracts. And the smells from the kitchen make me thankful for what is to come... Kari

I'm thankful for my family and friends. I'll add to that I'm gainfully employed. Too many are still out of work.

I've been thankfull (every day, not just today) that we've done as well as we have.
Nobody killed, five injured only, and none of those horribly. I can't (won't) ask for more than that until I'm on the flight home. eb

I'm Thankful for everyday I wake up and see the light! I pray for guys like eb and the girls out there too that think enough about us and our way of life
to possibly lay their lives on the line. I am Thankful that the Good Lord is merciful to all us sinners and continues our lives though I am sure at times he
thinks we have gone way too far offline of the straight and narrow.
I am Thankful I apparently survived the massive overeating of yesterday and see the light of day and will enjoy that gift as much as possible today! Bill ELT
PS I am even Thankful for the first snow of the year which is falling outside right now as I type! |

I'm thankful for the time I have got to spend this week with my sons and wife!
And so much more that is so insignificant in comparison to the above, but still worthy of thankfulness.

I am thankful that I get to sleep in my own bed tonight, and enjoy a Saturday at home in PA tomorrow!
I am also thankful to be at home for Thansgiving this year with my family, I've spent the holidays overseas and I know what it's like to be halfway across the globe away from family. |
