If you live near a "Big 5" or a "Dunham's" keep looking there. All are not counterbored and a counterbore is not a bad thing. It was
likely done by a Soviet or Ukrainian arsenal to restore accuracy. Also follow the trader boards and auction sites. You may have better luck on the
"secondary" market. If not mentioned in the ad, do not neglect to ask about a CB. Occasionally www.gunsnammo.com will list a few Mosins below their Finn M39 listings. Some of those imported by Aztec were the nicest
around. The site I referenced sold some Aztec rifles and carbines for a while - have no idea what they may still have. Good luck! Regards.

Venaticus: One of the rules is to not post anything for sale on this forum. There is a trader board for that and also the PM system. Regards.

Venaticus: No real problem, sir. I can appreciate your offering them to members. May your carbines find good new homes. Glad to have you aboard. Regards.

well.. ive ordered an M38, i expect to receive it friday or saturday of this week.. it has been counterbored.. but given how it does inprove the durability of
the rifle a lot.. by not allowing any sort of muzzle trauma to effect accuracy, ive decided to get this one i really liked... so ill be checking that out this
weekend, and hopefully find some ammo to spend a weekend with

justin: You may want to try several loads from several countries while looking for a good load for that particular carbine. Mosins are "individuals"
and can be "picky". At least one load should shoot to (or close to) POA and might group better than others. My carbines seem to like Hungarian heavy
ball. Regards.
