I'm not sure if this has been done before, or you people just dont like doing it, but I believe we should have a thread with Pictures of our Mosins. Which,

Oh we like pictures alright. In fact, we do this very ting time to time. Looks like we we're due again.
Most of mine are fairly recent but what the
hey... (some of the rifles were doubled in my file and is why they were so presented here.)
^ M39 & 1942 M91-30
1942 M91-30 War time receiver is rough as a cob.
^ The M39 from above with repro bayonet.
^ Arsenal refurb straight stock M39
^ Finn M91 absent handguard
^ Finn Civil guard =S= and [SA] marked M28
^ 1943 M91/30 That is not a laminated stock. I looked under the butt plate. Whatever kind of wood, it's the natural grain pattern. That's what brought this rifle home. As an additional note, the receiver is much more finely machined than the 1942 model above. That about does it. In fact, I think that is the whole of my minor Mosin collection. Still, not too disreputable for a Mauser man. No?
Now let's get somebody elses images in here too???

Yeah righto....I love these threads...
SIG barreled m/24
M39 Sako 1941 Straight Stock
M91 Tikka 1940
M91/30 Tikka 1944
M27 Tikka 1939
M39 Sako 1942 Here's some photos of rifles that I no longer own, but hang on to the photos for what might be called slight sellers remorse...
M91/30 Tula 1939 Finn Capture. My first Mosin.
M39 Sako Sk.Y 1942. I bought this from the US thinking it was 100% original, but it was a refurb so I got rid of when I needed money a couple of years ago....I have yet to replace it with an original....
M44 Polish 1953. The most commonly encountered Mosin in these parts, bought cos it was cheap.
M91/30 Hungarian 1950.
M44 Romanian 1952. I wish I still had this one....

Oh boy... | ||

I gotta a lot of Mosins (not nearly as many as some on here!) so I'll post some group shots to have less pictures.
My carbines 2 '43 M38s, a '43 M44, a '44 Tula M44, and a '45/53 MO marked NKVD M44
My M91/30s '28 Izzy, '31 Izzy, '34 Tula, '40 Tula, '42 Tula, and '43 ex-sniper
My Finnish M39s '41 VKT, '42 B, '42 SKY, '42 SAKO, '68 No Maker, and a '70 No Maker
What I've bought since then...
1942 VKT
1944 Izhevsk Ex-sniper
All matching 1943 Sako
1946 Izhevsk 91/30 NON-ex-sniper (regular infantry rifle)
The 55th SK.Y
1942 Izhevsk
1940 Izhevsk...
...with perfect stock cartouche
1917 Remington M91 (Finn Capture)
1943 ex-re-sniper PU (I wouldn't have done it, but I bought it with the locating pins already knocked out)
1941 all matching PL marked Sako
That's all for now...

"Pahtu, Is that a rifle rest or just a holder on the saw-horse?"
That was a Generation I rifle rest, made to hold my rifles for outside pictures. I forgot it in our pasture @ the cows got it.... The pic below shows a 1940 Tikka M91 with my generation II rifle rest - Prototype rifle rest III is resting in my shop, ready for next years pictures

That's about half of them, but it's all I really have handy at the moment. Most of my "normal" 91/30s and carbines don't get much face
time even though I still love them too.

1945 M-44 with PPSH sling. All are all matching Izzys.
