Not in my house yet, but they both should be within a week. They're both first-year-production guns, although I'm sure some will laugh off the first
while drool over the second.
The first is a genuine, first year production Intratec TEC-9 with all the accessories, including the factory soft-case (Intratec sold the TEC-9 in a cardboard box with a soft, zip-up case from 1985-1986 only). Unlike your stereotypical TEC-9, this one has milled steel "button" sights that present a far better sight picture and alignment than the gratuitously ugly stamped sheet metal sights that were spot-welded on the later guns. Another difference from later TEC-9's is that during the 1985-early 1987 timeframe, Intratec's quality control was actually pretty good. Virtually all of the guns from this period that jammed or broke did so because one wasn't feeding them the correct 115 gr. FMJ ammo. As for accessories, I got an early design screw-on muzzlebreak (which should be useful as a thread protector), three early production magazines, the zip-up case with gold lettering for "INTRATEC" (1985 only), and a nylon sling (early style white lettering for "INTRATEC"...only Interdynamic used gold lettering on the slings). The second, a C&R military rifle, will actually interest you guys, and I'm going to make a post about it on the military semiauto board after I make one here. It's an Albanian SKS, but to be honest, I've never seen one quite like it. It's one of the less common, "undated" guns, but it seems to throw a monkey wrench into the theory that all of the undated guns came at the very end of production in 1979 and 1980. The serial number is 0188 and it has a matching dark wood stock, not the orange shellac stock I've seen on literally every other undated Albanian SKS. The sling is like nothing I've ever seen outside of one of the slings on Yooper John's page featuring a few Albanian SKS slings. It's practically white (faded khaki?) and the forward part of the sling attaches pretty much like a Nagant revolver lanyard (although given how Enver Hoxha had driven Albania's economy into the ground, I'm not totally convinced the clasp in question didn't start life out as part of a Nagant revolver lanyard!). Basically, all signs point to it being a very early example of a 1967 (especially the low serial number)...but it's undated. If you have any info you want to contribute about this oddball, just go over to the military semiauto board. |

And here's pics...
-First year production TEC-9 (note the "button sights" and smooth receiver)
-Opposite side view with cheesy, ugly-looking muzzlebreak.
-Albanian SKS
-With no date, a low serial number...
-...and a funky sling attachment. |

What is funky about the sling attachment? It looks like a normal AK/SKS type clip there.
Nice looking Albanian! I'm not up on the Tec weapons, but it looks menacing and may frighten soccer moms and small children.....

"What is funky about the sling attachment?"
Well, I guess it came out poorly in the photo, but it's cut weird. The metal clip holding the sling to the swivel is kind of cut at an angle. The top of the figure 8 shape is about half a centimeter to the right of the bottom part of the figure 8. And nope, it's not bent. |

It does look bent sideways to me, but without having it in a persons hands, they would just be guessing. Maybe it was made intentionally this way? Some of
those things can be a bugger to unlatch, especially if you are outside on a cold day and have cold fingers.

"Maybe it was made intentionally this way?"
That's certainly a possibility, although I would say if someone actually designed it like that, as you said, it would be a real bugger to unlatch (I've not yet tried). |

Found another M28 a few months ago, but only picked it up last night. | ||
She's in a one-piece stock and seems to have been beat around some, but her barrel is in really good condition. |

See'in as how I got the HSc, Kate said she was entitled to something also. Well....she got a Beretta M21A, .22 LR......said she wanted a little hideout pistol. I would have chosen something will a little bigger hole, but hey, it's her choice and money. Dang, now along with her regular S&W 337 Titanium carry piece she could blow a fuse in a metal detector.
