First off, Welcome to the Forum!
Second ... very nice find!!! I can't say for sure as I don't have one for direct comparison, but from the pictures in Webster's book it sure looks as though the handgaurd from the Model 1909 Arg. Engineers Carbine should fit your M1933 as well. It looks to be very close anyway. You may be able to find one on eBay or Gun Broker or some other auction site as they do show up occasionally. Otherwise I'd look for one from Springfield Sporters or Sarco or one of the other known parts houses. As a last resort, there are stock makers who could probably custom reproduce one for you for $$$. Good luck with that, and maybe let us know what you find. For that matter, why not post us some pictures now, and then some more if you find a replacement! Many here would love to see such a rare bird as you now have! |

I have one of these very rare mausers and am interested in checking out the site where you got yours. I have one I got from Bob Ball when he originally
imported them about 01. Most were in not much better than good condition and most all were complete mixmasters with some pitting just under the wood line. I
was lucky as I ordered the same day he put them up on line for sale and I have a very good, neer excellent all matching with at least 90 blue. Anyway would you
please let us know the website so we can check them out. Thanks!!
