I think there is an "Italian Forum" on this site you need to move that to.
I will say it appears to have had its stock sanded.........that'll detract from the value. hsc |

It looks like a Model 38 Short Rifle. It came in 6.5 Carcano and 7.35X51mm. I get the Model 38 and 1891 confused so perhaps someone that knows Italian rifles
can elaborate. I owned one at one time. Can't tell from the pictures if it is in original finish.

I can't see enough of the rear sights to tell you the exact model. It looks like the M91 TS. I also can't tell for sure from the photo, but the finish
doesn't necessarily appear refinished to me.

It appears to be a Carcano M38TS, but as has been said, hard to tell from the pictures.
Value? Depends upon the condition of the bore, metal and stock finish. What you get from selling it is what someone is willing to pay. From the pictures it looks like something I'd like to have, however I'm a cheap sucker and most likely wouldn't offer what you want. List it on Gunbroker, with some really good pictures and see where it goes. If you have a figure in mind, place that figure as a "reserve" and watch the show. If your reserve is too high, it won't sell. Pretty simple. eb

It's a Model 1891 Carcano Special Troop carbine. Note the front sight and the adjustable rear sights....they are the clues. It has a smaller adjustable
rear sight that only goes up to 1500 meters range. All the M38 and M91/38 short rifles (fusile corto) had a 300 m fixed rear sight, and the M91/24 TS carbine
had the 2000m rear sight (the M91/24s were cut down rifles). The front sight is set directly on the barrel, and is NOT set on a sight base that wraps around
the barrel. That feature denotes a 1897 - 1919 vintage M1891 TS carbine, not the M91/28 TS carbine, circa 1928 - 36. I don't know if the stock matches the
barrel serial number, but it does have the neat side sling arrangement used by horse borne field artillery troops.
