Blue bolt on M 24/47 |

I saw one for sale with blue bolt , rifle is M 24/47. How common are these as most are in chrome finished? This kind of reminds me of the Romanian refurbed VZ
24 currently on sale by AIMs.

One I got from AIM a few years ago has a blued bolt. It sticks out from the others when stacked alongside them, for sure.

Not too uncommon... definitely an indication of the re-furb process that most M24/47's went thru. A few got blued.
Here's one of mine:

Nice one Bean! But what's up with the band spring on top of the band???
How common are these as most are in chrome finished? The rest of these are not "chromed" but simply polished hardened steel. That's referred to as being "in the white." Diplomacy is the art of saying nice doggie until you can find a rock. Will Rogers |

My 24/47 (also purchased from AIM a few years back) has a blued bolt as well. When my rifled was re-built/overhauled, it received a new barrel. My rifle has a
forced match bolt as their are different serial numbers on bolt. One set under the bolt handle and another set that matches the receiver on top. Headspace is a
little on the tight side. The trigger pull is 3 1/2 pounds and has very little creep. I have had a lot of fun with this gun at the range shooting pre-war
German ammo I bought from J&G several years ago. The rifle also shoots S&B 196 Grain soft point to the same point of aim. I have yet to kill a deer
with it yet but it will have another chance 26-29 December at my lease outside of Sonora Texas.____ Few Things Beat Quality Time The Trigger . Jim

Good luck and good hunting J/Jim. By all accounts, these will bring home the meat. Diplomacy is the art of saying nice doggie until you can find a rock. Will Rogers |
