Knowing the can of worms this will open the propane is for the heater in the bathroom not for the shoot. Although the empties are for the shoot. OK let the
games begin!!!!!! Like the cheerleaders by the way! Bill

I think Chuck is in for more trouble. Ice/snow/rain is predicted for Christmas eve and Christmas which will bring down more lines. Of course Chuck being
resourceful could be using this as a cover to scour the gun shops all over the east coast.

You can also have fun with the person on the other end by saying "hold it close to your ear, and listen REAL close for a minute". Then pour a beer into your end and hold the hose-end way up high!

I don't think Chuck is actually out digging snow. He's gone deeper than that and is tunneling to all the closest gun shows and honey holes. He wants to
go under cover, so that Zeebill and others don't know when he's sneaking off on a buying spree! Besides, several miles of tunnels will give him
increased wall space, so he can better display his accoutrements!!!

I'll refrain from any smart mouth comments about WV since we're under a winter storm warning and may get from 12 to 20 inches over Christmas.
That's a lot for western WI at one time. I may vanish from the scene for awhile, too. Carl

Chuck is braving the elements to get to Drucker's General store to buy some dental floss in order to weatherproof his phone system.
Joke's on him though: there being no need for dental floss in WV! They invented the toothbrush there; if it was invented elsewhere, it would have been called the "teethbrush". Chuck is still without electric and heat, he has intermittent phone service and I managed to get through this AM. He said they are telling him maybe Wednesday
or Thursday for the electric, He told me he has wiped out all the local sources of propane cylinders and bought a lot of gasoline for the generators. Total
expenditure is well over $150 with just those two things so far.
I got off the hill I live on today and the main roads are not bad at all so I shopped and had lunch downtown. I also picked up a for me present in the form of a Magellan GPS and trip minder from the pawn shop when the boss didn't want it because he has a couple already. I used it on the way home and I believe it to be idiot proof so I would be able to use it I guess. I made it back up the hill drive with no trouble but man if we get the amount of temperature raise and rain they say is coming we are going to have flooding for sure! Chuck only had 8 to 10 inches down there but he is very prone toward flooding so he could be isolated even more so by the weekend. That little creek you cross to get to his house floods very easily and then you flat cannot get in or out period. I would say it is time to put a little Chuck and family type prayer in our minds as things could go from bad to worse down there if they get really bad rain and melting. He is quite frustrated as there are only isolated areas without power and he believes his problems are caused by him somehow being in a grid that crosses the river to Kentucky. They have power in town so some bright person decided to open the school which has about 200 students. They had 5 come to school today out of the 200! Very spotty problems but with his luck he is on the wrong side of the problem unfortunately. So think a little of the WVChuck clan and praying will never hurt any for sure! Bill |

UPDATE/UPDATE | ||

I just got off the phone with Chuck.
It's not looking good. He said the power co. told him that it will be at least Monday till they get power back. As we were talking, the phone was braking up bad. It looks like it is going to be a miserable Christmas for them. Lets all keep them in our thoughts, and wish them well.
Stan.

I believe he has a fire place for heat. What he really needs is the little propane cylinders ( 1lbs.) for the camp stove
for cooking and heating water.

I'm almost ready to drive over there with a truck load of propane. Where's Hank Hill when you need him?
He needs to get that camp stove rigged to use a big propane bottle. |
