Feel free to add to it as new material is come across. Try not to duplicate material already posted. This post should cover all Mosin Nagant weapons and related material from whatever nationality. Posts: 3249 Dec 18 04 12:42 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	An interesting book on the Winter War is "Molotov Cocktail" by Finnlander John O. Virtanen. Not a lot of Mosin references, but it's an interesting look into the mind of a Finn at the time. Should be on Amazon.com or Half.com. Or course everyone needs a copy of "The Mosin Nagant Rifle" by Terence W. Lapin. Also available at Amazon. Another interesting one is "Hitler's Arctic War" by Chris Mann and Christer Jorgensen. It has a short, but great section on the Winter and Continuation war and lots of Mosin action (including some shots with what appear to be the elusive M27rv ). Lots of good photos. Copyright 1998. This is the expanded and improved follow up book to Bowser's Rifles of the Snow. It was certainly the benchmark for Finnish Mosin-Nagant rifles when it was first published and is still a necessity for Finnish rifle collectors. Simple but good illustrations and clear text. Follows the development of the Finn rifles from the civil war in 1918 up to the end of the Continuation war with chapters on Finnish Mosin Sniper rifles, other models of military rifles used by the Finns, Proof marks and stampings, bayonets, ammunition and headstamps, reloading for the 7.62x53R cartridge, SVT semi-auto rifles, info on the Winter War and Continuation War, a Finnish/English index of firearm and military words (very interesting). Although there are a very few items in the book that are inaccurate, all in all, this is still the best English language source on Finnish military rifles.
