So, the whole deal with starting this "Militaria Forum" was so we could talk about slings, acoutrements, and what have you.
So, here I am to tell you I put a U.S. 1907 sling on my FN 49 because I just couldn't stand the wimpy, thin, narrow sling that is original to the rifle.
Is it just an American "thing" that dictates that a sling is a tool for the rifle, needs to have "some meat" and is more than a crummy little strap to hold the rifle on your shoulder?
Just wondering.
Eric
