I have a 91/30 sniper rifle, made in 1944 at Izhevsk.
The rifle appears to never have been re arsenaled, (no marks to that effect on the rifle anywhere) all the metal has even patina, no fresh cuts or wood finish anywhere on the rifle, no import marks, just obvious dark staining on the wood from normal use and handling and wear on the metal.
It has the usual Izhevsk factory marks as well as some that I have not seen before.
Letter inside a diamond on butt plate
Number 5 inside a diamond on scope mount.
Number 5 in a circle on stock.
The word 'Kahaze' on the rear of action
Mark on the trigger guard, #3 inside a diamond, near the front screw.
