Accraglass substitute |

I need a small amount of bedding material and I don't feel like spending $50 for a bedding kit. What would be a good substitute for accraglass ?

In the past, whenever I needed only a small amount of epoxy, I would purchase a cpl small tubes of epoxy mix and mix the epoxy and an amount of brake drum
filings I obtained from a local automotive garage for a super strong metal reinforced bedding/repair job.

Great idea, but be careful as standard epoxy does not exhibit the same abilities as Accraglass to withstand temprature changes.
Standard expoy has a tendency to get brittle in cold weather. eb

I use Micro-bed for the little things that need fixin' I haven't seen the stuff advertised in years but it works and it didn't cost very much . In
defense of Accra-glass , if you are always having little fix it things come up . Accra-glass can be measured by the drop and mixed on a piece of plastic .
I'll dip a tooth pick into the resin and count the drops onto the mixing plate . Then , wipe the toothpick dip it in the hardener and count the drops for
that then mix well . You don't even have to ad the floc if you don't want to , using the kit this way , I've used one kit for years before running
out .

Devcon if you can find the small tubes or even JB weld for very small areas.
