Like a review before I bite! Hate to "fit" things. hsc DARRIN WEAVER was out of repro mags, he sent me an original instead without charging me! woohoo!!!!!! hsc

Life is the crummiest book I ever read, there isn't a hook; Just a lot of cheap shots, pictures to shock, and characters an amateur would never dream up... |

Originals can be found at APEX for about the same price as a repro that may or may not fit/function properly.

Where are you buying your repros, Chuck????
Apex is charging market rate on their G43 mags $150. Repos are generally 1/2 to 1/3 of that at most vendors. Numrich had them for $40 at KCR 2 years ago. They've gone up to $50 now though. $150 is okay for an original though... I was thinking Hakim mags.....
Also, just trying to help Greg out with not having to fit/file & fidget with a repro mag. Then again, this is all coming from a guy that doesn't have a G-43......

All those 8mm look alike to me 
Most of the repros I've seen don't need a whole lot done to them. But I thought his G had a mag when Jason and I helped him with it a couple years back.... I've yet to see a G/K43 repro mag that was worth much. They all have fitting problems, and they seem to frequently have feeding problems as well. The originals are pricey, but if you scout around you can get them for not too much. Just recently I scored one for $80 that had been refinished sometime in the past, but was otherwise 100% original.

The g43 mags from gunparts and sarco IIRC are the good ones... they are direct copies of the standard 10rnd mag. I bought 4 mags and fitted two of them to my rifles. Real easy to do...just needed to file the locking tab area so they would lock in. They have run flawless for the last 8 yrs or so... Still have two and a pouch in the plastic wrappper just in case....
