legal question |

Long story short, guy wants to pawn a handgun and shop owner turns him away. In the parking lot I inquire about what he has and out the door comes a screaming
shop owner, running off the other guy and threatening me with a call to the sheriff. As a C&R holder in Florida, was it illegal for me to do this? He
accused me of stealing his customer. Weird.

Sounds like a pawn shop worth staying well away from to me!

no he truned down the pistol first. i would have told him to go pound sand. and set up a meet with the guy to look at the pistol.

As long as you and the guy with the pistol are residents of the same state, and you both were in that state at the time, the transaction would have been legal
from the ATF's viewpoint. State laws vary quite a bit, however and might require a handgun to go through a dealer. It sounds like the shop owner is just an
angry nut-job, though.
