When I see the videos of those tortured cats, my heart goes out to them and make me want to help. And deck their previous 'owners'.

We were driving down the road one day and there was this white blob right on the centerline. There being no traffic I slowed to see what and there was this kitten. Sadly (at that moment) I saw that there was but little blood and it was still alive. i couldn't leave it like that so pulloed over and went and got it thinking to put it out of it's misery. I picked it up (wasn't much bigger than freshly weaned) On picking it up, it didn't really look to bad off. I set it down and he staggered around a bit then sat down. I picked it back up and on closer inspection, it only appeared to have a bloody nose. That did it. We took it to the vet's and a bloody nose was all it was. We took the little thing home and soon found out how he wound up in the road. He like to climb up under the car's hood. We figured he had to come in or it was chopped cat or roadkill so here he his. Every now and then his eye's will cross and in fact does act like he was dropped on his head. He was near pure white then but darkened up as he got older. Part Siamese we think. And yes, we too think he israther remarkable looking to, thank you very much. The target I scanned, divided into quarter scans and printed out in 4 pages to make a target suitable for my poor old eyes. Diplomacy is the art of saying nice doggie until you can find a rock. Put a feral dog in a cage and you might have the same reaction. Or as MD said they may have been tortured. They are more than likely hopeless cases and will have to be put down. Carl

Posts: 41 (12/29/09 06:34 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	we have 9 indoor cats did not want to get that many but. 3 were brought to use as babies. we had to feed them with and eye dropper. something happened to their mother. 2 more showed one morning as i was getting on the tractor they ran up to me and started to rub on my feet, they were about 6 weeks old. we think dumped the night before.

I know that sometimes I come across as a RightWingChristianConservativeWhacko but....... I think that God sometimes speaks to his little creatures, much like He speaks to us, and thells them who to run to for help. That would explain what happened to you on the tractor, Bob.

Meanwhile, there's been a stray coming around that I've been calling stretch, because he's long and lean. Think I'll start calling him Beanstrung, or maybe just Bean!

He wakes me up several times a night purring in my face but other than that he's been a good cat. Some of my houseplants may disagree however. Kitty the Orange AK Cat tolerates him well, but is clearly unimpressed. I LIKE the fact that a cat's affection has to be 'earned' more so than a dog.
