It was about 12 above zero and calm perfect shooting weather. I tried two groups at 25 yards to make sure the scope wasn't way off and then another two at 50 yards. The better and first 50 yard group of five at 50 yards was 1.25". I encountered a problem which mystifies me and which I've never experienced on any other semi auto including M-1 Garands, M-1 Carbines, M-14, SKSs of various types, AK-47s, PSL 54C, AG42b, Ruger 10-22, Suomi M-31, etc. Sometimes it would not cycle at all and I had treat it like a straight pull, other times it would short cycle and extract the spent casing but not reload, and other times it would function normally and extract and reload the next road. It was completely random. The first time I tried it a couple of weeks ago it worked flawlessly with 15 rounds of American Eagle ammo. The first five rounds yesterday were Wolf lacquered steel case in a very cold chamber and barrel. I thought maybe the Wolf ammo was the problem but the next fifteen rounds were American Eagle and it continued to do the same thing. Does anyone have any thoughts about this before I tear it apart to try and figure out what's going on? Thanks. Carl

Posts: 1501 (12/18/09 08:20 PM) Veteran member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Perhaps the coatings on the Wolf's steel cases stuck in your chamber and effected the AE brass cases as well? Moisture freezing in the gas system? Murphy? Ruger? I guess I don't know???
