Posts: 3887 (12/20/09 07:25 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Talked to Chuck Saturday while he was resting between snow shovel spurts. He had no power as I had none either for 12 hours then it came back. I heated with the super kerosene heater for awhile and kept it at 65 degrees with no trouble. Today the phone to Chuck was out when I called to see how they made it through the night. He had plenty of wood and had the fireplace going full time and the generator was taking care of the freezers and fridge. He was without internet and I did notice the unmistakable withdrawl sound in his voice. He gets really upset when he is snowed in and there is no school to begin with. He calls these snows useless because they don't give him snow days from school! I would imagine about now he can be heard everywhere if you walk outside and listen real close his primal scream of frustration can be heard! Poor Lorinda and the kids! He he! Bill

It's like Aspen came to WV here! Got stranded at the resort (with 25 other instructors) so we just skied! Blasted closed trails..........had insane crashes.......stayed with a total stranger in her $250,000 dollar condo on the mountain Friday, ate spagetti and meatballs (dinner) and pancakes and bacon (breakfast), slept in a pro-freestyle skier's bed (he was stranded all night on the interstate in VA)..... Taught just 6 (great) lessons..........dudes..........I've had a great weekend! They, Chuck and Son, are out searching for propane and she said the roads are not bad down there. Then in mid conversation the phone went out again and I can't make the connection again. So he is far from out of the woods for now, pardon the pun. So the saga of our intrepid pioneer and his family continues! Then in honor of the first day of winter my computer took a dump this AM and I lost all my pictures from the first part of the trip and all my URL's for the neat sites I visit daily or so. This has not been a good period for us WVirginians here! Oh well at least I have power and cable and more important heat. Good Luck Chuck and family! Your northern neighbor!
