I just bought a Feinwerkbau air rifle; model 300S, if I read the inscription on the receiver correctly. It's been around a while: the decals on the stock
are from matches shot in 1986. I'm going go shoot it in my back yard. It's going to teach me to shoot offhand. It's my first air rifle, and I
have a lot of questions:
Do's and Don'ts: I've heard somewhere not to cock and fire it without a pellet in the barrel. True? Anything else I ought to know?
Care and cleaning: Do I clean the barrel? If so, how and with what? What should I oil, and what not to oil? Do I have to do anything special about those 20 year old air seals? Anything else I should know about maintenance?
It has an aperture front and I'd like a post. The sight hood seems larger in diameter than a Lyman 17 and smaller than a Redfield. dose anyone know if inserts are still available for that front sight?
