At a gun show earlier today I came across an immaculate M24/30 with a Zrak side scope mount and Zrak 8x56n scope on it. The lady at the table said she inheritted it from her father and that she was told that some of these were "put together" for the Bosnian War or some other conflict.

Is this authentic? I'm inclined to say no because its just TOO nice. LOL

For what she is asking, which if it wasn't drilled and tapped, it would be worth it nowadays. IF its authentic I'd say it was a bargain!

There are some immaculate Venezuelan 24/30s around. I have one. I've never seen the sniper rig you describe, but the rifles alone in this condition have been between $550 and $650.

Wll, I have one in great shape, its just that I'm VERY skeptible that its a genuine sniper.

You can see mine by clicking on my avatar and then clicking on "see all" in albums. Based on the serial number, I guess mine's a little older (32,xxx). I'll be adding new photos soon -- the ones in the album are much darker as posted than the originals are.

Nice. Your's is a little nicer than my, since my stock has a few bangs here and there.

I think that these have the smoothest action I've felt, other than my 1891 Argy! I'll have to hunt with my Vene next year, as its shooting 4" to the left. ; (

I'm starting to realize how expensive my addiction can be.....and I still have one semester left on my Master's degree!

I just put up a few more pics in the albums. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen a bad-looking Venezuelan 24/30. I guess they weren't used much before the FN49s came. I love 7x57!

I saw one a while back that was used and abused by someone! But, most that I have seen are near perfect if they aren't perfect.

all matching except the stock that has a different SN

The scope and mounts alone are probably 300$+. Shame if bubba did that to one of those beautiful rifles.
