Here's a quite unusual deer bagged by my brother, it was one of two that day. 10 points, 262 lbs., 176 1/8 Boone & Crockett.
Rifle he used is an Ithaca LSA55 Deluxe, 6 m/m Remington. These were made for Ithaca by Tikka in Finland. I bought the rifle, best I can rember, in mid 1969 and gave it to him shortly after purchase. I had intended to use it as a varmint gun, but afterwards thought it was better suited as a deer rifle. I did not/do not deer hunt, so he has put it to good use for 41 years. I don't know how many deer have been taken with that rifle, but has to be in the hundreds.
