Posts: 7 Feb 3 12 3:57 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None While I've been having trouble with charter arms over horrible warranty service on a new gun, I've been ecstatic over my purchase of a Colt 1911 Stainless Government Model. Beautiful fit and finish, shoots like a dream and feels great in my hand. I can't say enough good things about it. It was well worth getting a colt over any of the lower priced clones. As it was, I shopped around and ended up paying around 150.00 more for a stainless model that I would have a blue Taurus or Para Ordinance. Last Edited By: pokeyoakey Feb 3 12 4:01 PM. Edited 1 time.

There was only one store that had any Colt brand 1911's and they were the upper end, fancy, tricked out colt that I'd be afraid to shoot. So I had to buy online and wasn't able to see the gun firsthand. I owned a commander back in the 70's but had never even fired it and stupidly sold it for a hundred and fifty dollars. It was before they had stainless, only nickle plating.
