Hi folks I'm new to the forum but not to old military rifles. I need some help on this one. I'm looking at an old carbine marked baretta on the receiver,1932 and gardone val serial no. 20130 on receiver and barell. I believe it is a carcano of some sort without the folding bayonet. A friend slugged the barrel and came up with 6.85--270 cal. The barrel is in poor condition with a lot of frosting. It also has a monte-carlo stock. I saw a pic on a site that looked identical with the exception of the stock and bayonet. Could this be some sort of carcano that was made as a sporter. Thanking in advance for any help. Best regards Dick
