Hey, I got a similar bayonet from a friend and I just want to make sure about a few things.

I read that this was an Austraikian made, at Mangrovide factory. between 1937-1943. Mine is a 1942 with 1 (guess thats January, photo has a 6). I am not sure what the X represents, dit the arrow appear on these Austrailian made bayonets and mine has a R stamp that I am not sure about. The SAP in the photo stands for South African Police.

Thanks guys. Also just want to hear wheter any other South Africans are on this site?

the X is the bending test marking , i cannot enlarge the photo for closer look but the scales look to be messed with ???

need to point out that the Pattern 13 and the Pattern 1907 look very much alike its the muzzle ring that is different and the P13 acales have two cross cuts to differentiate , also the markings differ some
