Smith & Wesson Model 1917 .45
Hi Everyone...It has been quite awhile since I first posted this nice revolver. I learned a few months back that Smith & Wesson had a historian by the name of Roy Jinks. For a $50 fee Roy will send a bit of further information about your particular revolver. I'm including a picture of that letter. I also learned something I did not know about checking for serial numbers on the 1917. I was able to find out that the handgrips are also original to this revolver. You can see the serial number of 16,788 penciled onto the handgrip. At any rate, I thought I would show my 1917 off once again with a few additional photo's. Hope all on the forum are doing well. Thanks for looking...Again! Mike
