Saturday morning and this doe comes out, then turns and walk away from me. She never gave me anything resembling a broadside shot so at 180 yards I held on the middle of her neck and let the 168 AMax fly. I hit a bit low and destroyed an entire ham but the bullet traveled her entire length and dropped her in her tracks! The rifle is a recovered 03A3 sporter that I've returned to military trim for competition in the CMP Vintage sniper matches. Weaver K2.5 fine crosshair scope makes shots like this a real challenge!
