It is all matching except the bands. It is non threaded at the muzzle. I think it's a bit high with the mismatched numbers. What say you guys? hsc

Posts: 1317 Nov 14 12 12:14 AM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	BATF antique makes it worth more to some folks than a later one. Personally, I would rate it like any other M96 looking for a VG or better bore for good shooting. I.E $400 in my book unless its really spectacular. Crunch

Posts: 188 Dec 10 12 2:37 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	It's sad to say, but the reality is it will ad at least a $100. to the value, maybe a little more. Here, in Pa. surrounded by places like Maryland, New Jersey and New York - gun show sales of non-regulated weapons, especially metallic cartridge centerfires, always brings in the bottom feeders.

I spent that much more for it's serial number rather than the antique factor,, although it did weigh my decision. Condition was near perfect as well. I need to do photos of that one some time. Those type of parts were commonly mixed up in my experience collecting Swedish Mausers. Good Swedes have really dried up in my neck of the woods....but be sure to use the "mismatch bands" to argue. As Dad always told me: "If you don't ask, the answer is always "no". Cheapdad

Many of us have paid top dollar for rifles that are now thought of as bargains. If it were me and I thought at a later date I'd regret getting it I might still give it alot of thought.
