Posts: 1192 Nov 24 12 9:43 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Tags : None This is my 1944 PU Sniper that I bought a couple months ago from Classic Arms. It's the real deal. The entire rifle is all original Ishvesk down to the rod and barrel bands Izzy stamped. All serial numbers stamped with crylic prefix's. The scope was changed when arsenal refurb with a 1943 Progress scope. Scope number is stamped on barrel shank above the lined out original scope number. It was zeroed out of the box. Trigger is almost too light. Stock doesn't have finger cutout at rear band and still has the Ishvesk cartouch on the stock butt. Stock shows alot of use but bore is pristine. It's MOA with the right ammo and I do my part. The longest distance I've shot is 400m at the range in the pics. Last Edited By: Gunruner Nov 24 12 10:05 PM. Edited 6 times.

The 5 shots to the left were from one magazine. the one on the right was from an earlier single shot. The 4 in a verticle string were fired one after another the flyer to the left was number 5. They are currently overloaded with orders but appear to have genuine PU snipers in stock. I'm considering getting one as long as they are genuine snipers and not repros/fakes. Posts: 1192 Jan 1 13 8:31 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	They have been certified as genuine. They are Russian arsenal refurbed after turn in by soldiers at the end of hostilities in 1945. You can go to Gunboards forums under Sniper heading and ask anyone about the Classic "Firearms" PU snipers. The serial numbers on my rifle are fully matched and appear in the listing for Ishvesk PU snipers produced in 1944. That listing is available. As far as I know the only other place that has genuine PU snipers is R-Guns and they want $800 and I was told they are from the same batch that AIM surplus sold out of and Classic has for $599. Best deal going and an investment, IMO. Thank you for your compliment on my Sniper. It is my most prized rifle, and I own AR's AK's that retail now for 2 times as much......Mike p.s. It almost seems to good to be true, but they are so overloaded with orders I think I'll have to wait a bit before I can place an order. One wonders if these are the last of the commercially available PU snipers.

Back in 2004 Coles Distributing had original PU Snipers and they sold for $650+ and they sold out pretty quickly. I didn't have the $ back then and I missed the boat. They quickly went over $1,000. I sold a gun to buy one this time. I received an exceptional example and it shoots as accurate as any rifle I've ever owned or ever shot, I've shot alot of rifles, You can order on line and have your FFL emailed to them and they will send it out. I've bought several rifles, handguns and ammo from them over the years. Every purchase has been as advertised. I know if your not satisfied they will exchange. They have done it for others. By the way I don't work for them and they only know me as a customer. I just like to see these real snipers go to folks that know to keep them original and not bubba them...................Mike
