I was listening to a report on the radio this morning about the major reshuffle of the Russian Ministry of Defense due to the sacking of the Minister by Putin. In the segment, one of the experts mentioned that the Russian military currently has stockpiled 17 million new-in-box AKs!!! This is the result of years of routine order of arms that nobody in the Russian military wanted or needed -- mostly due to entrenched graft and corruption. Wow! What can they do with all these AKs...!
