A quite nice recent acquisition.
FN Browning, 1922 Model, post war French? contract. Serial number A0710, with reserve magazine and holster.
Reference to Vanderlinden "The Belgian Browning Pistols" and "FN Browning Pistols": "The French government contract range is believed to start with contract number A0001." These contract pistols were fabricated from left over parts from the wartime German occupation and newly made parts.
The magazines bear the -FN-/7.65 m/m marking, which I understand to be proper marking for late war time and post war magazines. The holster is quite nice, although does have some issues that would not be as left manufacturer. I will post a seperate reply to this post, relating to the holster.
